Bull City TNBA Senate President Selected As 2009 Senate President of the Year At the 2009 Annual Convention of The National Bowling Association, the Bull City TNBA Bowling Senate was honored by the selection of Eddie Barnes to receive the 2009 “Joan I. McDuffie Senate President of the Year” Award. Eddie was selected from among 5 finalist from throughout the U.S. Due to a national tournament scheduling conflict, Eddie was not present on the convention floor for the presentation, but past Bull City TNBA Senate president Tommie Young was able to stand in and accept the plaque on Eddie’s behalf. Eddie attributes the award to having a great group of officers and states that this award is more a reflection of the Bull City TNBA Senate than anything that he does personally. Bull City TNBA Senate secretary Tonya Harris completed and submitted all the necessary forms for Eddie to be considered for the award. |

The Bull City TNBA Senate Remembers Iraqi Based Member Earlier this year, new Bull City TNBA Senate member Gentry Gunn bowled in the 2009 Membership Drive tournament just before he was to begin his deployment in embattled Iraq. As president of this Senate, I promised Gentry that we would keep in touch and let him know that we were thinking of him. If you have ever met Gentry, you realize that this is a special young man and we are indeed blessed to have him protecting our country. Having been bitten by the bowling bug at an early age, I am certain that Gentry would love to hear from fellow TNBA members and bowlers. Gentry’s email address is: mj_n_gg_4_lyfe@yahoo.com. You may click on the following email address and drop him a line. mj_n_gg_4_lyfe@yahoo.com |
